Christmas at Paris
>> Sunday, 21 December 2008
Merry Christmas to all of you out there! I am sure most of you realised that I am back in London. Its quite cold here which makes it a good place to spend Christmas! Hope it snows before I am back to Malaysia for Chinese New Year.
Anyway, here are some pictures of my visit to Paris 2 years ago. I was there for Christmas too.
Can-can dance anyone? The famous Moulin Rouge (it means red windmill in French) is known as the birth place for this dance.
This was taken at the top of Galeries Lafayette. In case you are wondering, Galeries Lafayette is a French department store for luxury brands and has always been a trend-setter in the Parisian fashion world.
Notre Dame, considered to be one of the finest Gothic Cathedral in France. Make sure you go up to the top of the tower to have a view of the whole area.
These buildings are just directly opposite the cathedral.
I think with a little bit of snow it will look awesome.
Paris Metro which is the opera house of Paris. It was opened way back in 1816.
Need I say more? You definitely need to get up to the 3rd level of this spectacular tower! Of course you have to pay a little bit more to get to the highest point but it is definitely worth visiting. Especially at night!
It was freezing cold then, our noses were all red! Not only that, it was so windy as well which makes it worse.
That's all for now, hopefully I do have the time to post more recent photos like the Hong Kong trip and some photos of Malaysia!
Once again wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

aileng: recycling? did you see the recycle bins around cities? and the posters to advertise recycling? otherwise global warming and all sorts of problems will arise!

huh i just back from Paris.
bad luck! moulin rouge's windmill was covered with scaffolds. Montmatre was good, i found traces of Amelie there, the grocery store and the cafe!
i decided not to go up to 3rd level because so damn expensive, and i remember it was not so beautiful at 2nd level.
waiseng: merry christmas to you too :)
kanki: heyy..merry christmas to u!!! also happy new year!!
how's ur holiday?
bad timing to go eh? must be very cold because london is freaking cold compared to past winters. So where are you located actually?
how much was it again to get to the 3rd level? couldnt really remember as it was 2 yrs ago.
anyway, take care and have a great weekend!
Back again! I have a few friends saying that Paris is dirty and smelly, probably cos of horse shit? But I thought horse shits are common in touristy places in Europe for people to take buggy rides. However, I really didn't encounter such unpleasant experience, and I think Parisians are friendly too.
The photos you took really blown me away!! How can or how did you take such nice photos?????
10 thumbs up 4 u bro...i'm just gonna click on your every pic and indulge it slowly....hahaha....hv a great day!!
