Happy New Year 2009

>> Thursday, 1 January 2009

Couldn't believe its already 2009 and I am another year older! Not too sure whether that's a good thing or not.

Anyway, just looking through my photos and found these photos taken in Paris 3 Christmases ago (including this one). Didn't realise it was already more than 2 years now. Time flies eh?

On top of that, I am sure all of you are aware that some countries are affected by recession pretty badly. United Kingdom is one of them. It used to be about 7 ringgit to a pound and its now only worth 5 to a pound.

Anyway, this is a square located at the end of Avenue des Champs-Elysees (the most famous street in Paris, equivalent to Oxford Street, London). On the other end of the street is the famous Arc de Triomphe.

During Christmas season, there is always a fun fair. So definitely you'll be able to see ferries wheel.

Anyway, wishing all of you a happy new year and all the best in the year 2009!

Is the pillar in Avenue des Champs-Elysees really tilted?

great contrast and how come no noise in ur night pics!? envy. haha.

i remember the Obelisk was very straight one wor. It must be the lens' barrel distortion or something like that, ha ha.

anyway happi new year!

Kanki: thanks! you need to use low iso! that was taken with D70s 2 yrs+ ago. yes definitely the distortion of my lens.

how did u capture the second pic? My friend just got a DSLR..hehe..wanna try to explore more using his cam...hehehe

Jenabi: happy new year to you! :)

Stephen: yeah...hope you be on time yeah :P otherwise the bill will be on u! haha.

Sandra: thanks!

Ven: its cold and gloomy. but during winter the best time is still sunrise and sunset. You definitely able to get nice lighting even if its during winter :) Of course, there are exceptions otherwise there won't be any thing called weather 'forecasting' :D

she3p: that shot was captured with my old nikon d70s. I was not even using a tripod, captured handheld. However, you might need to use manual exposure if your camera couldn't meter night shots properly. That's what i did.
