Opera House in Oslo
>> Thursday, 31 July 2008
Didn't take us too long to get to our hotel from the National Theatre Station, of course with the help of the locals. Unlike some of the European countries, most people in Oslo speaks English which is great.
So here we are at the city centre of Oslo. The weather was great and many people were just chilling out at the park.
Get a day's travel pass and you are able to travel around by trains, trams, buses and boats.
Besides, you can also hire a bicycle to go around.
I am attracted to colours, that is how this building caught my eyes.
Its green! Let's cross...oh wait..that's for the vehicles.
This is the Opera House of Oslo which is located next to the coast. Notice the stairs? It is actually the roof of the opera house.
The interior of the opera house, mainly made of wood. I guess its for better sound absorption.
That is where the theatre halls are located.
This is the roof top of the Opera House. You can easily walk up the slope.
This is how you make full use of the glass windows. If you look straight into the window you will be able to see through, however if you look from the side you will get a complete reflection of the other side. Sometimes it good to play around with angles :)
